Whoa! So Simple yet So Profound!

This past weekend I was listening to a talk and the speaker said something that was so simple yet so profound.

Here’s the premise…

Your thoughts create your emotions which affect how you feel. Your thoughts come from your beliefs. Therefore the thoughts you think, stories you tell (yourself and others) and your beliefs create your current experience and how you feel right now. So if your train of thought is that you are lacking in some way — “I don’t have enough money,” “I don’t have the relationship I want,” “I don’t have the physical health/fitness I want,” etc. — that will be your experience and you’ll have the corresponding emotions and feelings associated with dissatisfaction and unhappiness.

Here’s the simple wisdom…

As a human being, you have free will, which includes the free will to choose your thoughts.

Therefore, if you have the free will to choose thoughts of lack, you also have free will to choose thoughts of abundance.

If you have free will to impose upon yourself thoughts of limitation, you also have free will to impose thoughts of potential.

If you have free will to think thoughts of fear, loneliness and suffering, you also have free will to think thoughts of peace, love, connection, collaboration and joy.

I’ve never heard it put quite so simply. Have you?

Such a simple shift in perspective can make all the difference.

What thoughts, beliefs and stories are creating your current experience and how you feel now? (By the way, a belief is a thought you keep thinking.)
